It is common in the productive and industrial world, “installations” that are formed by the union of several individual machines, which we can consider as a machine integration.Within the European regulations related to machines (Directive 2006/42/EC), reference is made in its definitions to the set of machines as the set of machines or quasi-machines that, to achieve the same result, are arranged and operated to function as a single machine.
If we consider the definition established in the UNE-EN ISO 11161 Safety of machinery. Integrated manufacturing systems. What will be necessary to certify a quasi-machine?
