Certification of a Partial Machine

Certification of a partial machine

Machinery Directive

Within the European regulations related to machinery (Directive 2006/42/EC), there is also reference to partial machines. Although the partial machine WILL NOT PHYSICALLY CARRY the CE Marking, it must also comply with Directive 2006/42/EC, and will have its specific requirements.Considering that a partial machine is a set that constitutes almost a machine, but cannot perform a specific application on its own, Directive 2006/42/EC considers that it must also meet its particular requirements.A drive system is a partial machine, for example. The partial machine is intended solely to be incorporated into, or assembled with, other machines, or other partial machines or equipment, to form a machine to which the Directive will apply.Just like machines, there may be other legislation that applies to it (EMC, RoHS, Low Voltage, etc.).

deviCE Sistemas, (Vitoria-Gasteiz) can certify your partial machine.

What will be necessary to certify a partial machine?

At deviCE, we can prepare all the technical documentation required by the manufacturer of the partial machine before its commercialization.A manufacturing dossier, a copy of the assembly instructions for the partial machine, or drafting an incorporation declaration will be necessary. The assembly instructions and the incorporation declaration must accompany the partial machine until it is incorporated into the final machine and thus becomes part of the technical dossier of that machine.deviCE Sistemas has experienced personnel knowledgeable in the applicable regulations, which allows it to become a great ally to ensure regulatory compliance in all its aspects and to prepare all the pertinent documentation.
